At the end of 2023, we were introduced through one of Zaky’s father’s old colleagues, who also happened to be a Soraya’s colleagues now. We began following each other on social media, and two months later, on February 5, 2024, Zaky’s father’s colleague arranged a meeting near Soraya’s office. Zaky’s father was there, and so was Zaky! That day was our first encounter, and we both felt an instant spark.
A week later, still in February 2024, we had our very first date at Wee Nam Kee, where our journey officially began.
Since then, we have continued to build our chemistry and strengthen our bond each and every day. By the end of 2024, that chemistry became the foundation of our love story and encouraged us to take the next step toward our forever together.

وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِّنْ اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوْٓا اِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَّوَدَّةً وَّرَحْمَةًۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ٢١
And one of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect.
May Allah bring blessings to you (when you are happy), and may Allah bring blessings to both of you (in times of difficulty), and may Allah always gather you both in goodness.
