LOVE STORY
We met through one of the dating apps on January 12th, 2022. At first, we did not intend to have a serious relationship. We just became friends to chat and discuss many things, ranging from political, religious, and social issues to music, films, and many others.
Even after we decided to meet at a cafe in Cipete, South Jakarta, on January 29th, we were worried that the meeting would feel awkward and run out of things to talk about because we had a lot to say before. The meeting lasted a long time, and we enjoyed the session.
It didn’t take long for us to share our future relationship goals: getting married. We don’t want to take too long to get to that stage of life and declare each other’s seriousness on February 6th.
On February 20 and 23, we took turns visiting homes and introducing each other’s families before bringing the two families together on March 5th to discuss the stages and preparations for proposals and marriage.
It all seemed fleeting, and it raised concerns for our relationship. There were times when we fought, cried, or even avoided each other. But it’s only temporary, and we choose to focus on our goal of getting married to become a better person in all aspects.
