We met for the first time in the office, and from that moment, sparks seemed to fly. Through our mutual connections, we found an immediate sense of familiarity and closeness. Over time, as we observed each other, a subtle attraction began to grow. January 20th, 2023, in Bali, became the day when those feelings truly blossomed.

As each other’s first love, there is still so much we have yet to learn about love itself. We are discovering how to love in ways that make us both feel truly cherished. With marriage on the horizon, the weight of our commitment sometimes feels heavy, yet despite the challenges, we’ve created countless joyful memories together. We’ve learned new skills, better understood each other’s feelings, and grown into better versions of ourselves. We’ve been through moments of breaking and healing, but through it all, our bond has only grown stronger.

As we got to know each other better, we navigated through both ups and downs. There were moments of doubt, when uncertainty cast a shadow over the future of our relationship, and hesitation pulled us apart. Yet, after much reflection and thought, we found our way back to each other. In December 2023, Khair gathered the courage to propose to Nisa, marking a new chapter in their journey together.

As we sought to deepen our relationship, it became important to connect with each other’s families. Since Khair’s hometown was quite far from Nisa’s, the first official introduction happened during the Khitbah. Both families warmly welcomed each other, and in that moment, we felt as though we had gained even more loved ones to call family.
